The huge appeal of the coast, in addition to the temperate climate and wide array of leisure options in Lloret, have traditionally positioned the town as a destination for sun and sand, intrinsically linked to the Costa Brava. But in reality, its essence goes much further: Lloret is culture, gastronomy, health, relaxation, nature, sports…
The municipality’s main beaches are Lloret, Fenals, Sa Boadella, Santa Cristina and Canyelles. Along with the town’s numerous coves, these beaches are the ideal spot for enjoying the sun and sea on the Costa Brava. The steep rocks and thick vegetation in the area give Lloret’s seafront a unique and mysterious character, which visitors can savour while walking along the seaside paths running along the coast.
Lloret has a valuable cultural heritage. The town’s modernist buildings are a good example of this, as well as the mark left by the Indianos – those who emigrated to the Americas then returned after making their fortunes – on the municipality's architecture. Lloret also features the remnants of two important Iberian towns and various hermitages full of charm. One of the municipality’s main tourist attractions is the beautiful Santa Clotilde botanical gardens.
