How to come up with a list of resolutions? Here are some tips from Rosamar Hotels!

02.01.2018 The world of Rosamar

Around this time of year, many of us start asking ourselves what our new year’s resolutions should be. What can I improve on? What habits should I take up to have a healthier life? How can I be happier?

Of course, the first step is to ask ourselves the right questions, while the second is to maintain a positive attitude to help us to fulfil them! But that's easier said than done...

In this new article we suggest a series of steps and tips which we hope will help you to keep your resolutions for new year! The important ones, those you really want to keep! ;)

1. Get some paper and a pen

Begin with a brainstorming session, drawing up a list of all the things you think you need or really want to achieve.

You can start by thinking about the resolutions you made last year but didn’t manage to keep, or anything you think will make you feel better and brighten up your life.

2. Think about yourself more

Make resolutions about you and not other people. You can't expect to change the lives of others.

3. Get organised and plan in advance

If one of your resolutions is to do more exercise, find out about a sport you would enjoy doing, the fitness centres you might like to join, the walking routes  you could discover and so on.

If you organise yourself properly, at least you'll be able to say you planned things well in advance!

4. Decide on a date to start

The best thing to do is to pick a date to start on. More important than beginning on the first day of the year is picking a day or week when you think you'll be sufficiently rested, motivated, etc.

Besides, you might consider working on more than one resolution at a time, but this is not usually advisable.

5. “Go for it, I can do this!”

Once you get started, don’t put things off! Finding a phrase to encourage you to face up to your challenge with enthusiasm will help you to succeed.

6. Be patient

If you skip a day and don’t keep your resolution, don't feel discouraged or blame yourself for not being perfect. Think about why you couldn't keep it; write the reason down on a piece of paper and you'll prevent it from happening again.

For example, if you decide to go on a diet and one day you don't stick to it, avoid going to the cinema for a few days, as it might cause you to succumb to temptation.

7. Give yourself a present or a reward

Rewarding yourself can be helpful in encouraging you to continue with your list of resolutions. You can give yourself small rewards each month or plan for a larger prize, such as a getaway somewhere on the Costa Brava. And what better than spending a few relaxing days in Lloret de Mar at one of the Rosamar Hotels?

2018 is a very special year for us. We'll open a new hotel, the Hotel Rosamar Es Blau, and one of our resolutions is that, as with our other hotels, it will provide you with an unforgettable holiday!

For this reason, we've taken care of all the finer details of the Hotel Rosamar Es Blau. Decorated in the pure Costa Brava style, you'll find it has a very current-day and modern appearance (we invite you to read our latest blog article in which we talk about it), an outdoor terrace and pool, a grassed area and so on. In short, a hotel to provide you with an experience in Lloret de Mar which is sure to blow you away!

When a year ends, we close a chapter of our lives. But it's also an opportunity to make a list of resolutions to serve as a starting point for setting ourselves new goals!

So shall we start putting the tips from Rosamar Hotels into practice? :)
