If you are a sports lover and you do not have any sporting event on the Costa Brava marked on your calendar, you should know that the 3rd edition of the LloreTrail Acerko will take place on Sunday, March 13, a mountain trail with three distances (5, 14 and 22 kilometers) that run through some of the most emblematic mountains of Lloret de Mar.

On Sunday, March 13, the 3rd edition of the LloreTrail Acerko will be held in Lloret de Mar, a mountain trail with two distances suitable for all levels (5km and 14km) and a new distance of 22km, which will be the Catalan Trail Running Championship.
The test is organized by La Sansi, an organization dedicated to promoting sport and organizing sporting events, together with the Lloret de Mar City Council, Lloret Tourism, the Girona Provincial Council and the Catalan Athletics Federation, with the sponsorship of Acerko Telecom, Powerade and Joma.
This new edition of the LloreTrail Acerko has three distances:
- 5 kilometers (positive slope 150m).
- 14 kilometers (positive slope 700m).
- 22 kilometers (positive slope 982m). Discover the 22km route.
This last distance will be the Catalan Trail Running Championship, a selective test of the Catalan Athletics Federation to create the Catalan team that will participate in the Spanish Trail Running Championship for Regional Teams that will be held on May 7 in Berga.
During the race, the runners will enter a small interurban route, crossing different emblematic mountains of the town of Lloret de Mar. A fairly technical route, with some ramps close to 40%.
Registration for these three distances is now open and has a limit of 1,000 participants. You can sign up through the Xip Groc’s website.
The price of the 5km race is €15.30, the 14km race costs €17.30 and the price of the 22km race is €20.30. For €3 you can also get your long-sleeved race shirt, the price of renting an RFID chip for races (in case you don’t have your own chip) is €2, the same as the finisher’s medal.
The bib numbers will be delivered on Saturday and Sunday. It is necessary to bring the ID card or proof of registration to the race and an authorization to collect other numbers (photocopy or photo of the ID card of the person who has that bib number).
Those who do not yet have their bib number will have to pick it up before the start of the race. There will be a wardrobe service from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and also a signposted circuit to avoid crowds during the warm-up.
The start will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Kaikuta Fountain, next to the Lloret de Mar’s local police, in El Rieral neighborhood, a large wooded area located on the outskirts of the town, at the entrance of the town coming from Vidreres, away from the urban area.
Participants will be able to enter the race’s forest 50 minutes before their start (in the case of the first runners, at 8:40 a.m.) and between 10 and 2 minutes before the start time they will be able to access the race start boxes.
The use of a mask will be mandatory whenever you are not running, especially in the race start boxes and until you are at least 20 meters away from the start.
The 14km race will have three feeding and drinking stations at kilometers 3.4, 6.5 and 10.6 and the 22km race will have 4 feeding and drinking stations at kilometers 3.4, 6.5, 13 and 18 (although runners are recommended to carry their own bottle in this distance). All races, including the 5km race, will have refreshments at the finish line.
At the end of the race, the gift bag will be delivered and, until 1:30 p.m., the participants will be able to use the changing rooms and showers of the Lloret de Mar’s municipal swimming pool for free, showing the race number.
