Among the most outstanding artists that will perform at the festival are Els Amics de les Arts, Judit Neddermann, Pau Vallvé, Blaumut and Joan Dausà. The program also includes concerts by Roger Padrós, Meritxell Noguer, La helen, Ana Ferrer and the GioSymphonia with Mariola Membrives.
The 61st edition of the Festival de Porta Ferrada will be held from June 30 to August 20 at the Guíxols Arena in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. This year, the festival has made a transversal commitment to broaden the spectrum of the public and will feature more than 40 shows by local artists and big names on the international scene. In its last edition, coinciding with the 60th anniversary, the festival received an Ondas award in the category "Best show, tour or festival".
International artists include Ludovico Einaudi, Wilco, Crystal Fighters, Pink Martini, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Jethro Tull and Jorge Drexler; and among the Catalan and Spanish artists are Núria Graham, Ramon Mirabet, La Pegatina, Mishima, Carles Marigó, Laura Andrés, Blaumut, Kebyart, 31 FAM, Niña Pastori, Fangoria, Ismael Serrano and El Barrio.
From June 30 to July 2, the Salat festival will also be held, the Porta Ferrada humor festival, which will host humorists from the current comic scene such as Oye Polo, Berto Romero, l'Altre Mic, Bruno Oro, Martita de Graná, No me toques el cuento and Leo Harlem.
From July 14 to August 19, the XXII edition of the Festival de Cap Roig will be held, a unique festival due to the exceptional setting in which it is held, the Cap Roig Botanical Garden, located in the municipality of Calella de Palafrugell, in the heart of Costa Brava.
The festival will host a total of twenty-three concerts, nineteen of which are presentations of new shows or recording works. The British Rod Stewart will be in charge of opening the festival, while the closing will be in charge of the Spanish artist David Bisbal.
Internationally renowned artists such as Ara Malikian, Sebastian Yatra, Norah Jones, Damien Rice, Mika or Simply Red, and national artists such as Pablo López, Pablo Alborán, Taburete, Luz Casal or Sílvia Pérez Cruz, among many others, will perform. The festival will also bet on family shows, with the performance of Dàmaris Gelabert and the show "From Simba to Kiara, the tribute to the Lion King".
The town of Roses will host the Festival Sons del Món from July 21 to August 7. The performances will be held in places as emblematic as the Ciutadella de Roses venue.
After her visit to the Benidorm Fest, the singer Vicco will be in charge of inaugurating the festival, which will close with a performance by the Spanish singer Raphael. Other artists that will perform at the festival include The Jacksons, Guitarricadelafuente, Sopa de Cabra, Antonio Orozco, Stay Homas y Julieta, Zaz and Ara Malikian.
The festival will also include a cycle dedicated to local emerging artists, whose names have not yet been announced.
The medieval Peralada Castle, in the Empordà town of Peralada, will be the setting for the Festival Castell de Peralada, which will take place from July 28 to August 5. The concerts will be held in the auditorium in the Parc Castell gardens, while the chamber concerts and small-format operas will be in the Church and the Cloister.
The festival's programming covers a wide variety of genres, ranging from opera and classical music to flamenco and theatre, with a clear commitment to excellence in artistic proposals in lyrics and dance.
