A new edition of the Lloretrail Acerko is coming, a mountain trail that will be held in the town of Lloret de Mar on Sunday, April 16. If you are a sports lover and you still don‘t have plans, mark this date on the calendar, get all the information about the race and get ready to participate!
On Sunday, April 16 will be held the 4th edition of the Lloretrail Acerko, a mountain trail with two distances (6 km and 16 km) in Lloret de Mar.
The race will host the Spanish championship of mountain races - trail running in the absolute, sub-23 and master categories, with a distance of 16 km, and also the Spanish championship of mountain races of promotion sub-20 and sub-18 of 6 km.
The race has been organized by La Sansi, with the collaboration of the City Council of Lloret de Mar, the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA), the Catalan Athletics Federation (FCA), the Provincial Council of Girona and the Consell Català de l'Esport.
The race has two routes, one of 6 kilometres and the other of 16 kilometres. Both distances have an interurban route. They start in the centre of town, at the Kaikuta fountain in the Rieral neighbourhood, and continue with a technical route that runs through different emblematic mountains of the town of Lloret de Mar.
- 6 kilometers (225 meters of positive elevation gain):
- 16 kilometers (583 meters of positive elevation gain):
The 6 km course is accessible to all levels, while the 16 km course is designed for runners with a little experience in long distances.
Both routes will have liquid and solid supplies during the race and at the finish line. Although for the 6 km race there is no mandatory or recommended material, for the 16 km race it is recommended to carry a hydration system of at least 200 ml or a cardboard cup in case you want to hydrate at the refreshment points along the route (although there will be emergency cups at the refreshment posts).
The placement of participants at the starting line will depend on the best time achieved by each participant in the last 24 months in 5 km and 10 km races. In case you are not assigned in the corresponding box for your record, you can prove your record in an approved race when you pick up your race bib.
The time limit to complete these distances is 3 hours. After this time, runners who wish to continue may do so outside the race and at their own responsibility.
Registrations are now open for the open race (non-federated) and soon will be open for federated runners. Registrations will be closed when 1,000 runners have registered for all the races.
The basic registration fee for the 6 km distance is 13€ and the registration fee for the 16 km distance is 15€. The T-shirt and the goodie bag have an additional price of 3€ and the commemorative medal is 2€ more for both distances.
The runners of both distances who do not have their own yellow chip must rent a chip, whose price will be 2 €.
The runner's fair will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on the same day of the race from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Roca Grossa Institute in Lloret de Mar, just 150 meters from the start of the career. Also, on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. the briefing of the race will take place.
Participants must present ID or similar to verify their identity and age before collecting the bib number, the runner's bag and the chip. In case you want to collect the number of another participant, you must present the participant's ID or a photocopy of it. The non-removal of the bib number or the runner's bag on the days established by the organization will imply the resignation of them.
Runners who still do not have their bib number will be able to pick up their bib number from 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Roca Grossa Institute. The participants will also have a cloakroom service from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in this same place.
At 9:30 a.m. will be the start of the federated athletes registered in the Spanish championship of mountain races - trail running absolute, sub-23 and master (16 km). At 9:31 a.m. will start the participants registered in the open race of 16 km.
At 9:45 a.m. the start of the federated runners sub-20 and sub-18 registered in the Spanish championship of promotion mountain races (6 km) will take place. And at 9:46 a.m., the rest of the participants registered in the 6 km open test will start.
Participants must place themselves in their starting box (according to the color of their bib, which will differentiate the distance and bib number) between 10 and 2 minutes before the start time.
The real and official time for the classification will be guided by the chip, which will be activated when passing through the carpet of the starting arch. You must pass successively through all the controls of the route, and it will be deactivated when passing through the carpet of the finish line.
Until 1:30 p.m., runners will be able to use the showers at the Lloret de Mar municipal swimming pool free of charge by showing their bib numbers.
The organization reserves the right to stop the race, modify the route or vary the time limits in case of bad weather conditions or for security reasons.
