For two days (April 26th and 27th), cycling lovers can enjoy a wide range of activities related to this fantastic sport. And all in one of the most idyllic surroundings of the Costa Brava.
With the arrival of the spring time, the temperatures in Lloret de Mar are warmer, the days are longer, landscapes begin to flourish with shades of all colors... Lloret is presented as the perfect scenario to ride miles and miles on two wheels!
Lloret Cycling Weekend
The Lloret Cycling Weekend is an event that will take place at the last weekend of April with a full activity-programme.
On the one hand, a series of talks have been organized on the exciting world of cycling, where professional cyclists and former cyclists will share their most curious experiences and concerns.
On the other hand, different routes have been planned so that the cyclists registered can share the road with the best elite athletes, as Roberto Heras, the professional cyclist who has won the "Vuelta a España” more times. There will also be other special guests, such as the Carlos Checa, a former motorcycle driver, the rally pilot Nani Roma, the former cyclist Sandra Santanyes and the triathlete Jordi Garcia.

Gran Fondo Lloret de Mar
The Gran Fondo Lloret de Mar is a cycling tour that will take place on April 27th in Lloret de Mar. The organizers define it as "the best route of the area, due to the beauty of the road between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols."
There are two different route options, which vary depending on the circuit, the kilometers and the elevation:
1) Gran Fondo Route (162 km / 2500 m): Lloret de Mar, Tossa, Llagostera, Quart, La Bisbal, Calonge, Sant Feliu, Tossa de Mar and Lloret.
2) Half Fondo (91 km / 1500 m): Lloret de Mar, Tossa, Llagostera, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Lloret de Mar.
Those who take part in the full route (the most daring) will be able to go through up to six mountain ports, among them Sant Grau and Els Àngels. Perfect sites to watch the spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea!
This year, the Gran Fondo Lloret de Mar expects to reach 1,000 registrations. There is a limit of places to attend, so it is advisable to register as soon as possible. You can come alone, with your partner, your friends or your family!
