The best beaches and coves on the Costa Brava

24.04.2020 Nature

Two hundred and fourteen kilometers of coastline form the Costa Brava. From Portbou to Blanes you will find a mixture of beaches and coves with golden sand, rocky areas, cliffs, fishing villages, natural parks, crystalline waters, marine fauna, history, culture and Mediterranean cuisine. In this post we would like to show you some of the most beautiful beaches and coves you will find on the Costa Brava:

Santa Cristina Beach, Lloret de Mar

Lloret de Mar has one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Santa Cristina beach is perfect for families or friends. You will have a beach of fine sand, crystal clear water, shallow and perfect for snorkeling. A beach full of vegetation and surrounded by pine forests that give it a wild and paradisiacal touch.

Cala Sant Francesc, Blanes

Cala Sant Francesc, also known as Cala Bona, is very close to the town of Blanes. It is a very well equipped beach: showers, parking, beach bar and rental of sun loungers and pedal skates. It also has a cruise service to get to Lloret de Mar and other nearby towns. Nice beach of coarse-grained sand and quite deep.

Cala Sa Boadella, Lloret de Mar

Nudist cove located in Lloret de Mar, between the Santa Clotilde Gardens and Santa Cristina beach. According to European Best Destinations, Cala Boadella is not only one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava, but also of all Europe. In this spectacular cove of the Costa Brava you will find coarse sand, shallow seabed, vegetal environment, bar-restaurant and showers.

Cala Pola, Tossa de Mar

If you are looking for a natural, almost wild beach, you will love Cala Pola! An isolated cove, located 6 kilometers from Tossa de Mar, with coarse sand and turquoise water. It is only accessible on foot (400 meters on foot), has showers and a bar.

Aiguablava Beach, Begur

In the picturesque town of Begur is located Aiguablava Beach, surely the best beach in this area. A magical corner that we encourage you to visit if you plan to visit this part of the Costa Brava. Of course, being a small and very touristy beach is often very crowded in high season. In Aiguablava you will find green cliffs, fine sand, calm and shallow water, as well as a variety of family-friendly activities and activities like paddle surfing and kayaking.

Cala Treumal, Blanes

Cala Treumal is located between Blanes and Lloret de Mar, at the southern end of Santa Cristina Beach, separated only by a natural passage of eroded rocks. A beautiful secluded cove, almost wild and bordered by the Pinya Rosa botanical garden. A small paradise composed of fine sand, crystal clear water, pines and rocks.

Sa Caleta, Lloret de Mar

Next to Lloret Beach, in front of the Hotel Rosamar Maxim, there is Sa Caleta. If you want to avoid crowded beaches, Sa Caleta is perfect for you. A small cove to live the tranquility of the Mediterranean Sea. Sa Calet is the most typical and traditional landscape of the Costa Brava, with thick sand and surrounded by pine forests, with old fishing boats on its sand, with a relaxing sea breeze and overlooking the castle d'en Plaja.

All the beaches and coves of the Costa Brava have their own charm and peculiarities. From Rosamar Hotels we encourage you to start planning your holidays in Lloret de Mar; like what beaches and places of interest of Lloret you are going to include in your itinerary. Choose the ones that best suit your needs and tastes.

There are many things we miss these days of confinement: hugging our loved ones, exercising outdoors, go to a restaurant with our friends... At Rosamar Hotels we can’t wait to enjoy Costa Brava with you! We look forward to making you feel at home away from home.
