The town of Blanes, in the south of the Costa Brava in Girona, was the first town on the Costa Brava to get the Family-friendly Holiday label in 2007.
It has a large offer, more than 4 kilometres of beaches, the Marimurtra and Pinya Rosa botanical gardens and one of the most spectacular fireworks competitions, the Costa Brava International Fireworks Competition.
