From Wednesday 10 to Friday 26 November, the city of Lloret de Mar celebrates its winter festival (“festa major”), in honor of Sant Romà, patron saint of the municipality. For more than fifteen days, you can find endless activities for all ages.

The second weekend of the month of November the Medieval Fair of Lloret de Mar returns. During the 13th and 14th of November, the city of Lloret de Mar returns to medieval times and transforms the old town of the city to host music, artisans, performances and craft demonstrations, among many others.

Although autumn begins in September, in Catalonia there are two celebrations that mark the arrival of this season. In addition to All Saints’ Day, the Catalans celebrate la Castanyada, a day in which people roast and eat chestnuts. During these dates, a traditional sweet made with a marzipan base called panellets are also eaten.
