A new edition of the Lloretrail Acerko is coming, a mountain trail that will be held in the town of Lloret de Mar on Sunday, April 6. If you are a sports lover and you still don‘t have plans, mark this date on the calendar, get all the information about the race and get ready to participate!
On Sunday, April 6, the 6th edition of the Lloretrail Acerko will be held, a mountain trail with two distances (6 km with 180m of difference in altitude and 16 km with 700m of difference in altitude) in Lloret de Mar. The race has been organized by La Sansi , with the collaboration of the Lloret de Mar City Council and the Girona Provincial Council.
The race has two routes, one of 6 kilometres and the other of 16 kilometres. Both distances have an interurban route. They start in the centre of town, at the Kaikuta fountain in the Rieral neighbourhood, and continue with a technical route that runs through different emblematic mountains of the town of Lloret de Mar.
- 6 kilometers (180 meters of positive elevation gain):
- 16 kilometers (700 meters of positive elevation gain):
The 6 km course is accessible to all levels, while the 16 km course is designed for runners with a little experience in long distances.
Both routes will have liquid and solid supplies during the race and at the finish line. Although for the 6 km race there is no mandatory or recommended material, for the 16 km race it is recommended to carry a hydration system of at least 200 ml or a cardboard cup in case you want to hydrate at the refreshment points along the route (although there will be emergency cups at the refreshment posts).
The placement of participants at the starting line will depend on the best time achieved by each participant in the last 24 months in 5 km and 10 km races. In case you are not assigned in the corresponding box for your record, you can prove your record in an approved race when you pick up your race bib.
The time limit to complete these distances is 3 hours. After this time, runners who wish to continue may do so outside the race and at their own responsibility.
Registrations are now open for the open race (non-federated) and soon will be open for federated runners. Registrations will be closed when 700 runners have registered for all the races.
The base registration price for the 6 km distance is €13.20 and the registration price for the 16 km distance is €15.20. Participants must present ID or similar to verify their identity and age before collecting the bib number, the runner's bag and the chip. In case you want to collect the number of another participant, you must present the participant's ID or a photocopy of it. The non-removal of the bib number or the runner's bag on the days established by the organization will imply the resignation of them.
The day of the race, runners who do not yet have their race bib can pick it up from 16:00h to 18:00h on Saturday 15th and on 17th April from 7:30h to 8:45h at Kids&us Lloret in Av. Del Rieral, 64-66 (100 metres from the start). A cloakroom service will be available for all participants from 8:30h to 12:15h.
The test will start at 9:30 a.m. Participants must place themselves in their starting box (according to the color of their bib, which will differentiate the distance and number of the bib) between 10 and 2 minutes before the departure time.
The real and official time for classification will be guided by the chip, which will be activated when passing through the starting arch carpet. You must successively go through all the controls on the course and it will be deactivated when you pass through the finish arch carpet.
Runners will be able to use the showers at the Lloret de Lloret de Mar municipal swimming pool, completely free of charge, showing their number.
In case of bad weather conditions or for safety reasons, the organization reserves the right to stop the race, modify the route or vary the time limitations.
