On 24 July, Lloret de Mar celebrates Santa Cristina, patron saint of the town, and on 26 July, Sant Elm, patron saint of seafaring trades. Discover all the activities and events planned for these days in the town and come and enjoy the summer festivities in Lloret de Mar.
The festivities will begin on Friday 18th July at 9:30 p.m. with a percussion parade through the streets of the town to the Museum of the Sea, where a correfoc will be performed by the colla Diables Sa Forcanera. On Saturday 19th July at 10 p.m., the Plaça de la Vila will host a sardana performance by the cobla Vila de la Junquera.
On Wednesday 23rd July, coinciding with the vigil of Santa Cristina, the vigil mass of Santa Cristina will be held at 7 p.m. in the parish church of Sant Romà. At 10 p.m., the workers of Santa Cristina will parade through the main streets of the town to announce the next day's festivities. This will be followed by the drawing of lots for the starting positions of the S'Amorra Amorra and Toquen a Córrer regatta, which is open to the public. The evening will end with the festival's verbena concerts at the Sardana monument on Lloret de Mar beach with the groups Los Manolos and Big Mouthers.
The day of Santa Cristina, Thursday 24th July, will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a procession of Santa Cristina's workers through the main streets of the town to announce the departure of the maritime procession, which will take place at 8 a.m. from the parish church to the beach to go to the beach of Santa Cristina by sea.
This will be followed by the S'Amorra Amorra lute regatta with male and female crews, and then the procession to the Santa Cristina’s chapel. Afterwards, a solemn service will be held with the accompaniment of the Alba de Prima choir and the traditional stew will be offered in the Plaça del Pi. Afterwards, the procession will start its return journey from Santa Cristina beach to Lloret de Mar beach, which is scheduled to arrive at the parish church of Sant Romà at 1 p.m..
At 7.30 p.m., the traditional Ball de Plaça or Dansa de les Almorratxes (Dance of the Almorratxes) will take place in the town square, a dance performed by four pairs of Santa Cristina workers who are chosen each year. This act will be followed by sardanas performed by the copla La Bisbal Jove.
In the evening, the local festive concert will be held at the Sardana monument on Lloret de Mar beach with DJ Anna Gisbert (at 9pm) and Buhos (at 11pm).

Nova Ràdio Lloret and Fitel Televisió will broadcast live and online the maritime procession, the morning events of the Santa Cristina Festival and the Ball de Plaça. There will also be an open day throughout the day at various elements of the Open Museum of Lloret (MOLL), such as Can Saragossa, the Santa Clotilde gardens, the Museum of the Sea, Sant Joan Castle and the Iberian settlement of Turó Rodó.
On Sant Jaume's Day, Friday 25th July, the 42nd anniversary of the municipal centre for the elderly will be celebrated at 12 noon in the Plaça de Pere Torrent, with sardanes by the copla La Flama de Farners.
In the afternoon, from 7 p.m. onwards, there will also be concerts by Tot Cor choir and Es Vano havaneres group and the Sa Dona Marinera havaneres workshop; country dancing by the Casal Country group in the Plaça de Pere Torrent at 10:30 a.m.
In the evening, the Sant Elm’s workers will parade through the main streets of Lloret de Mar at 10 pm, followed by the distribution of horchata and coca de Sant Elm in the Plaça de la Vila, and the traditional havaneres singing by Barcarola and Son de l'Havana groups at 10:30 p.m. on Sa Caleta beach.
On Saturday 26th July, the day of Sant Elm, the mass of the Brotherhood of Sant Elm will be held at 11 a.m. in the parish church.
The Sant Elm Brotherhood and the Club Nàutic Lloret sailing school will organise an offering of a laurel wreath in memory of those who have lost their lives at sea at 1 p.m. on Lloret de Mar beach.
The 41st Sant Elm Trophy will also be held on Lloret de Mar’s beach, a regatta for Optimist class boats for sailing school students.
In the evening, the Ball de Plaça or Dansa de les Almorratxes will be held again at 7:30 p.m. in the Plaça de la Vila with four pairs of Sant Elm Workers.At 11 p.m. there will be a lyric concert with orchestra formation by the copla La Principal de la Bisbal in Sa Caleta.
The festival will close with a fireworks’ display by Pirotècnia Valenciana, winner of the Blanes 2024 International Fireworks Competition, at 10:30 p.m. in the bay of Lloret de Mar.

On 2 July, in the Germinal Ros square, the film Chicho & Rita will be shown; on 9 July, in les Alegries, the film Moulin Rouge; on 16 July, in the Kaikuta Fountain, Lady Bird; on 30 July, in the Pati de l'Erol, The Untamed Will Hunting; on the 6th of August, at Can Carbó track, the film Mean Machine - Play Hard; on the 13th of August, at Fenals beach, the film You to London and me to California; on the 20th of August, at the Avenue of Regions, Primos; and on the 27th of August, at Sa Caleta beach, the film Billy Eliot.
On Saturday 19th July at 9pm at the Roca d'en Maig, there will be a performance by The Spiders from Mars (tribute to David Bowie) and at 10pm, a performance by The New Experience (tribute to ABBA).
On Friday 25 July, at 21h, the Catalan singer and songwriter Roger Padrós, a Benidorm Fest 2024 participant, will perform at the Casino de Lloret de Mar. Tickets can be purchased on the Gran Casino Costa Brava's website.
On the first three Thursdays of August at 10 pm, concerts will be held on Fenals beach. On 7th August, Todos los gatos son pardos (tribute to Gato Pérez); on 14th August, the cover band La Central, and on 21st August, Gipsy Hits (tribute to Gipsy Kings).
And every Friday in August at 22:30h, concerts will be held in Santa Cristina. On 1 August, in the Plaça del Pi, there will be Cuban popular music by Ray Cuza Sextet; on 8 August, also in the Plaça del Pi, a recital of Neapolitan songs by La Bella Napoli; and in the Ermita de Santa Cristina, on 15th August, in the Ermita de Santa Cristina, a concert by the Unexpected Trio; on 22nd August, in the Ermita de Santa Cristina, the Quartet Divines Cordes, and on 29th August, also in the Ermita de Santa Cristina, a piano concert by Inés Reinoso.
On Saturday 23rd August, at 23h, the group Smoking Stones, a tribute to the Rolling Stones, will perform at the Roca d'en Maig.
