The festa major of Sant Romà will be held from Friday 7th to Sunday 18th November in the town of Lloret de Mar. During these days, all kinds of activities and events will take place to celebrate the town's winter festivities. Read on to find out more!
The proclamation of the festivities, the event that kicks off the festa major of Sant Romà in Lloret de Mar, will be held on Friday 7th November at 8:00 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall of the Lloret de Mar Library. On Sunday 16th at 11:30 a.m., a parade of percussion and giants will take place through the streets of the town centre to the Vila Square.
On the weekend of 8 and 9 November, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the traditional Lloret de Mar Medieval Fair will be held on Passeig de Jacint Verdaguer, Plaça de la Vila and Lloret de Mar's seafront promenade. One of the most eagerly awaited activities of the autumn season, with performances of legends, magic, craft stalls and demonstrations of ancient trades, among others.

On Tuesday 18 November at 11:00 a.m., coinciding with the feast of Sant Romà Martyr, a solemn mass will be held in his honour in the parish church of Lloret de Mar with choral singing and organ accompaniment. At the end of the mass, there will be sardanes (typical regional dance) and a choral performance in the square by the Unió Coral Lloretenca.
The first concert of the festivities will take place on Friday 9 November at 8:00 p.m. at Hotel Evenia by the Selvatana Orchestra. At 11:00 p.m., in the same venue, this orchestra will also be in charge of the festa major dance.
On Friday, 14 November, starting at 8:30 p.m., in Germinal Ros Square (near the Municipal Market of Lloret de Mar), the “nit jove” concerts will begin, featuring performances by Head Injury, Mojinos Escocíos, DJ Tramma, and Tapeo Sound System.
On Saturday, 15 November, starting at 9:00 p.m. in Germinal Ros Square, the second night of the ‘nit jove’ will be held with performances by Verbena'm, Strombers, and Banda Tropical.
Admission to all these concerts and performances during the Sant Romà festival is completely free.

On Saturday, 15 November at 11:30 a.m., in the Children's Room of the Library, there will be a reading of legends by Txell Yanes. This activity is aimed at families with children. And at 5:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Vila, there will be a children's show and a popular chocolate party for the Town Festival.
On Sunday, 23rd at 5:30 p.m. at the Lloret de Mar Theatre, there will be an activity called My First Film Festival, organised by the Cineclub Adler and aimed at children aged 2 to 12.
On Sunday 16th November at 12 noon in the “barraquetes” in Germinal Ros Square, there will be a children's showby the group Reggae per Xics.
From Friday 7th to Tuesday 18th November, a funfair will be set up in the car park of the Lloret de Mar sports area.
On 7th, 8th and 9th November, the Lloret Negre Festival, a noir film festival on the Costa Brava, will be held.
On Saturday 15th November at 3:00 p.m., the third day of the Catalan swimming league in the alevin category, organised by Club Natació Lloret, will be held at the Lloret Municipal Swimming Pool.
On Sunday 9 November at 10:00 a.m. a chess tournament will be held at El Puntet (Av. de Vidreres, 58). The competition is organised by the Club d'Escacs Lloret and the entry fee is 5€.
On Sunday, 23rd November at 8:00 a.m., departing from the athletics tracks, the Lloret de Mar Hiking Centre will hold its traditional climb up Montgròs and the 3rd Omelette Competition.
The same day will also see the 5th edition of the Corriols de l'Àvia cycle ride, organised by the Penya Ciclista Lloret. The event has two distances (25 or 37 kilometres) and can be done by mountain bike or electric mountain bike. For more information, see our our post about this edition of Corriols de l'Àvia.
On Friday, 7 November at 11:00 a.m. and Friday, 14 November at 8:30 p.m., there will be a dramatised tour of Casa Museu Can Font, a unique opportunity to learn in an entertaining way about how Indian families lived in the 19th century.
In addition, on Sunday, 8 November and Sunday, 16 November at 10:00 a.m., you can enjoy the Indian Route and a guided tour of Can Font House Museum, departing from the Museu del Mar. The price of the activity is €5.10 for general admission and €2.60 for concessions.
On Tuesday, 18 November, there will be an open house at Maritime Museum, the Iberian Settlement of Turó Rodó, Sant Joan Castle, Can Saragossa Farmhouse, and Santa Clotilde Gardens. During this event, visitors will be able to freely visit each of these sites during their regular opening hours without having to make a reservation in advance.
