The sea routes are a network of sea trails intended to the practice of sports, leisure, and educational activities. These parallel trails run to the coastal Costa Brava paths, they are signposted and marked out, making them perfect for open water swimming and snorkelling safely.
If it is your first-time swimming in open water, it is worth to take some considerations. There is no lifeguard service on these sea trails, so you must have a level of fitness when choosing the route. Before entering the water, check the flag colour and always use a marker buoy so you can be seen even underwater.
This 3.6-kilometre route begins and ends at the main beach of Lloret de Mar. It follows the coastline to the south of the town, passing through the cliffs and rocky area of Cala Banys, until it reaches Fenals beach, located about 1.8 kilometres swimming.
Once there, we recommend stopping even if it's just for a while to recover energy and start your return to Lloret de Mar beach.
This 2.8-kilometre swimming route is the continuation to the south of the previous route. It runs along some of Lloret de Mar's most emblematic beaches, such as Fenals beach, Cala Sa Boadella and Santa Cristina beach.
The starting and finishing points are Fenals beach in Lloret de Mar. It can be done all the way to Santa Cristina beach or stopping at the small coves along the way. A perfect itinerary to discover the rocky coast of Punta de Llevant and Punta de Sureda, at the bottom of the Santa Clotilde Gardens.
This is a low-difficulty route, with a total distance of approximately 2 kilometres, perfect for observing the wildest landscape of Lloret's coastline and discovering its rocky seabed.
The starting and finishing point of this route is Sa Caleta beach, located between Cala Canyelles and Lloret de Mar beach, just in front of Castell d'en Plaja. From there, you swim along the east coast of Lloret de Mar, passing Cala dels Frares and Punta Roja, until you reach Cala d'en Trons. Once in this cove, you can take the opportunity to recover energy before heading back to Sa Caleta beach.
This route starts and ends at Canyelles beach, located at the northern end of Lloret de Mar, from where it heads east towards Cala Morisca, located about 2 kilometers away. Along this route, you can see imposing cliffs and geographical features located on the edge of the coast.
The route is approximately 4 kilometers long, so it requires a good physical condition to complete it. We recommend stopping at Cala Morisca to regain strength before returning to the starting point.
